Maybank Group Clinches Eight Asia Money Awards

Maybank wins six awards and Aseambankers two awards

Maybank Group received a total of eight awards at the Asiamoney Annual Awards 2005 held in Kuala Lumpur today. The awards received were the highest number received by a financial institution in Asiamoney's Annual Awards for 2004. This is the first time that Asiamoney has held its `Awards Road Show' in Malaysia.

Datuk Amirsham A Aziz, President and CEO of Maybank received the awards at a special ceremony organised by Asiamoney. The senior management of Maybank Group was also present at the Awards Ceremony.


Maybank received awards for the following categories:
•	Best Cash Management - Local
•	Best Local Foreign Exchange Provider
•	15th Anniversary Poll of Polls (past 15 years) for
	-	Best Local Cash Management
	-	Best Local Forex
	-	Best Trade Finance (Overall)
•	Trade Finance for Best Overall Domestic Services.

Aseambankers received two awards for the category:
•	Participation in Malaysian Deal of the Year
	-	Optimal Group of Companies Structured loan / refinancing - Aseambankers, HSBC, Maybank
•	Regional Deals of the Year Local Currency
	-	Cagamas RM1.555 billion RMBS- Aseambankers as Principal Advisor & Lead Arranger as well as Lead Managers & Book Runners : Aseambankers, CIMB, Standard Chartered.
